Thanks to dedicated community members like you, Fairbanks History Day continues to thrive in its 23rd year. Your expertise remains a critical component behind the success of our local effort.
We continue to see a strong and diverse pool of submissions each year and despite our current challenges, we expect a good turnout in this year's competition.
The Fairbanks History Day Virtual Competition will kick off Monday, February 15th with our online judges training at 6pm AKST. A link to this virtual training will be posted on February 1st, 2021.
This year’s theme is "Communication in History: The Key to Understanding". I strongly recommend you take a moment to review the narrative of this year's theme and various YouTube webinars located to the right of this screen.
You will receive your judging assignments by email no later than February 15th. Included will be scoring sheets and web links to your judging assignments.
All judges scoring sheets are due back no later than 5pm February 18th, 2021.
