THE 2022 FAIRBANKS HISTORY DAY CONTEST
WILL BE A VIRTUAL COMPETITION.
JANUARY 31 - Registration Opens online at www.fairbankshistoryday.org
The following is required:
Documentary & Performance: URL uploaded to submission
Website: link of webpage uploaded to submission
Research Paper: PDF emailed to info@fairbankshistoryday.org
Exhibit category emailed to info@fairbankshistoryday.org
Please submit a single file of 6 digital photographs of the following to info@fairbankshistoryday.org.
- Overall exhibit
- Left panel
- Center panel
- Right panel
- Details of each graphic and caption
- Details of all text boxes used
Remember that this is the only way the judges can get to know your entry! Please make sure you’ve captured all aspects of the exhibit and that the photos are clear and in focus.
The process paper and bibliography should be included as well in
PDF format. Please indicate at least one student name, school, and division in the file names.

A Process Paper is required with each submission.
*Teachers must register before students may submit their projects.
FEBRUARY 11 - Registration closes. No late entries will be accepted.
FEBRUARY 11 - Virtual Judges Training 6:00 to 6:30pm.
FEBRUARY 14 - Contest begins.
FEBRUARY 17 - Judging Ends at 5:00pm.
FEBRUARY 18 - Fairbanks History Day Award Winners Announced Online at Noon.
The projects of the top 3 award winners in each category and division will be posted online on February 19, 2022. These award winners are eligible to compete at the Alaska State History Day competition. Top finishers in the state competition will advance on to the National History Day Competition in June of 2022.
